Highfield Meadow

This is a field off Bickwell Lane which is grazed meadow and is currently leased to a farmer by the SVA.

It consists of 2 acres and is not presently open to the public.

Two stone pillars and a magnificent 5 bar oak gate were erected in 1978 in memory of a past Chairman, John Mosses, and Ann Jones who gave Highfield meadow to the SVA. Over time, the gateposts had been considerably overgrown, and the entrance to the SVA land from the lane (which the tenant does not use), were also completely impenetrable. In Autumn 2020 we cleared the access, and the stone pillars are now displayed and are very fine.
